    To create an army of students who would be competent enough to understand the natural environment and ensure application of the geographical knowledge for its betterment at the local and community level.

    Inculcate a mindset and put into practice an attitude to conserve and protect the resources and work for sustainable development of it at the grassroot level.

    Infuse the concept of green and clean world (management of effective disposal of solid waste and encouragement of plantation activities) at their immediate environment.

The teaching learning process in the department of geography best attempt is made to make it creative and scientific. Teachers are well prepared prior to the class. Teaching objectives are set in advance. Referred books and online sources relied upon. Interactive classes are encouraged giving ample scopes for student participation. ICT tools are used whenever necessary. Practical, projects, field survey, student seminar, annual seminar enhance teaching learning process. Surprise test   conducted. Revision classes are carried out as per student requirement. Best attempt taken to satisfy all types of student queries.
