- To conduct study tour and students visit at different indological research institutes.
- To promote scope for research among teachers in the department.
- To engage alumni of the department for overall development of the students.
- To gain knowledge on Manuscriptology and palaeography by arranging different workshops occasionally.
- To develop moral and value education among the students and other people also.
