The Department of Zoology seeks to provide the students with quality education in life science through teaching, learning and research imbibed with ethical values. The Department aims to instil in its students the highest values of life, a respect for nature, and a sound acquisition of scientific knowledge through research, experience through field visits and effective pedagogy.
- To impart quality education to students and groom them for higher studies and competitive examinations.
- To sensitize students for animal welfare, conservation, and protection of biodiversity.
- To prepare trained workforce in animal sciences – teaching, research, and entrepreneurship
- To develop infrastructural facility for teaching and research
- To coordinate with researchers, institutions, organizations and communities towards
collaborative education and research.
- To undertake research projects, conduct quality research in frontier areas and publish research papers.
- To promote leadership in science and technology.
- To provide transformative, holistic, and value-based learning experiences to students through quality education
