Overview
Aim:

The Fundamental Principles:
The Youth Red Cross shall function on the Fundamental Principles of the International
Red Cross movement which are as follows :
* Humanity * Impartiality * Independence * Voluntary Service * Unity * Universality

Objectives:
The objectives of Youth Red Cross (Odisha) shall be to train the “zealous” Youth, in the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross, so that they may remain “imperturbable, unwearying, unflattering” and develop in them the elements of “quiet self-sacrifice” when disasters strike humanity. Keeping this in view the YRC shall endeavour as follows, for
- Promotion of potentialities of the Youth to enable them to render skilled philanthropic service toned up by a sense of self-sacrifice, for the mitigation of suffering of the needy and the distressed;
- Promotion of health, hygiene and sanitation and cognate subjects among the members of the community for prevention of disease and mitigation of suffering;
- Promotion of motivations among the youth for fostering friendship and fraternity) at the national and international level;
- Promotion of qualities of leadership and traits of personality among the youth; e) Promotion of the spirit of self-reliance and dignity of labour among the youth; f) Promotion of training in various skills to render qualified service to the needy;g) Promotion of factors which may contribute to the establishment of peace at the national and international level.
Boarders of Karubaki Ladies Hostel participated in Poster Making and Rangoli Competitions on the occasion of World AIDS Day on 1st December,2024. The events were organized by Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of the College.
Volunteers of Youth Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club participated in Awareness Rally, formed Human Chain and distributed leaflets to public in order to create awareness on prevention of HIV/AIDS. The event was organized by RRC Unit of the College on 29th November,2024.

Van Mahotsav was inaugurated by Honourable Minister for Higher Education, Odisha by planting a tree on 3rd July,2024
YRC Counselors’District Working Committee Meeting was held in the College on 24th July,2024
Deepak Kumar Nishank and Prabin Tigga of final year Commerce participated in the Zonal Level Disaster Management Programme on 11th to 13th August,2024 organized by SCS Autonomous College, Puri.
