About Department
The B.Ed. Programme commenced in the year 2016 with 50 Intake in Self finance mode run by Govt. of Odisha after getting recognition from NCTE, envisions “Nurturing Ignited minds towards Excellence”. Since inception, 285 students appeared in the Annual Exam and 278 passed (98 % with 1st Division). 73% students of the session 2021-23 have qualified CTET (CTET-1: 13, CTET –II: 3, CTET both: 35). Most of the Alumni are employed and about 10 % pursuing higher studies. The programme is running smoothly with 5 regular & 4 Contractual faculty and two earmarked classrooms, one staff room, one seminar library cum office room and uses other required resources of the College.
The regular curriculum transaction follows inclusive practice with special focus on critical, creative and collaborative thinking and 360 degree assessment process. Besides, School Internship programme is another important aspect that gives practical exposure of experiential learning to trainees in the school and nearby community. The department celebrates and observes different days and events of national and international importance and organizes seminars, workshops, literary competitions and exposures/ field trips for the students and guides them to bring laurels to this esteemed institution. The committed faculty members with cooperative supporting staff under the reverent guidance of the Principal tries their best to make teaching learning process more interesting and interactive.
